My wife and I recently toured Westgate Residential Suites Independent Senior Community and found it much to our liking, so much so that we have decided that this is the place for us. For seniors who wish to be rid of all the responsibilities of home ownership and who are desirous of Independent living with community comraderie under one roof, this seems to be the perfect solution rather than a senior retirement all-inclusive, meals included community. Westgate Residential is pet friendly and has large apartments with full kitchens, laundry room, huge balconies, common areas for socialization with other residents, a coffee klatsch area with complimentary coffee, planned activities, a library, a fitness center, a parking garage within the structure, and a beautiful extremely large lawn area at the rear of the property that even has picnic tables. My wife and I and our Pomeranian Furby cannot hide our excitement and are anxious to move in.

There are always activites going on, and on special occasions (Valentine's Day, Xmas, etc) mangement provides a party, there are parties. There are residents who are happy to drive the non-driving to the grocery store, doctor appointments, etc. The building is well maintained and managed and we have very responsive maintainence team. The decks are nice place to enjoy lunch or dinner or just relax with a glass of ice tea, water, or your favorite libation. One plus, that most apartment communities do not offer, and is a huge benefit and one that is much appreciated is indoor parking.

Westgate Residential Suites is a community of friends with a library, exercise room, parties, pot lucks, puzzles, board games and card games.  Beautiful apartments with balconies overlook trees and greenery.  Treats (sweets, rolls or fruit) are in the clubroom both mornings and afternoons Monday through Friday.  This quiet and friendly place is a few blocks from thriving West Toledo shopping on Secor.
